Your expedition begins with pickup from your hotel in Iquitos and transfer to the historic port of Bellavista Nanay. There we will board our private boat to navigate the Nanay River as evening falls. We will gradually detour towards the Momon River, a tributary surrounded by vegetation, sounds, and local legends. The landscape will change with the arrival of night, setting the stage for our Amazon exploration.

Our first stop will be at a specialized insectarium, where you will learn about part of the extraordinary biodiversity of the Amazon and discover the fascinating variety of insects that inhabit the tropical forest. At nightfall we will begin a night walk through the jungle, accompanied by our guide. With flashlights we will explore the trails and look for species that develop their activity during the hours of darkness.

During the hike you will learn to recognize the sounds and movements of the forest as we explore its trails. We will be able to encounter different insects, amphibians and nocturnal birds and, with some luck, observe night monkeys in their natural environment. After the exploration we will enjoy a dinner on board with a traditional Amazonian juane, prepared and served in bijao leaves, while listening to the sounds of the jungle.

Finally, we will test our skills with a night fishing experience on the Momon River. We will use traditional techniques as we sail under the Amazonian sky. Once the activity is finished, we will start the return to Iquitos and arrive at the port of Bellavista Nanay, from where we will transfer to our office to conclude the expedition.
