Experience a nature adventure from Iquitos by sailing up the Amazon River. Observe the confluence of the Nanay and Amazon rivers and look out for gray and pink river dolphins, depending on the environmental conditions. Then venture into the rainforest for a 1- to 3-hour hike, where you can discover birds, insects, and mammals that play a vital role in the ecosystem. Accompanied by a local guide, you'll learn about the Amazonian biodiversity before returning to Iquitos with a light snack.

ITINERARY

We'll pick you up at your hotel and head to the Bellavista Nanay port, where you can sample some of the region's popular cuisine. Then we'll board our boat and set sail on the Amazon River. During the journey, we'll witness the confluence of the Nanay and Amazon rivers, a breathtaking meeting of waters that marks the beginning of our adventure. The journey continues through stunning natural landscapes, offering the chance to observe Amazonian wildlife.

Along the way, we'll have the opportunity to search for gray and pink river dolphins in their natural habitat, subject to weather and river conditions. We'll continue navigating until we reach a suitable area to begin our exploration. There, we'll embark on a hike through the Amazon rainforest, accompanied by our guide, who will help us identify different species and understand their importance within the ecosystem.

The hike will last approximately 1 to 3 hours, depending on each participant's physical abilities and the terrain. During the hike, we'll observe insects, birds, and mammals that play a vital role as the true architects of the rainforest. We'll discover how these species contribute to the balance of the forest as we explore trails surrounded by Amazonian nature.

At the end of the hike, we'll return to Iquitos aboard our boat. During the return trip, we'll enjoy a light snack while admiring the river scenery once more. We'll arrive at the port of Bellavista Nanay and then transfer to our main office, where the tour will conclude.
